So on Wednesday 18th November I went to Titanic Creative Management Studios, Belfast for a Brian Kinney Masterclass "Quick Appliance Casting and Application Using Platinum Silicone Molds"
Brian was a top bloke and the class was a lot of fun, wish it had been a little longer but that's how it goes, some info about the course below.
Primetime Emmy nominated Makeup Artist, Brian Kinney, has worked on productions such as Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men and even Hunger Games; but he is renowned for his MUA SFX prosthetics staple: the Hurt Box.
Brian will tutor students in this three hour Masterclass on all of the possibilities of casting different materials from the Hurt Box as well as application tips and tricks to ensure your wounds and injuries look as realistic as possible.
Brian will demonstrate appliance casting with a variety of materials using his kit essential Hurt Box system of platinum silicone on-the-go molds, followed by basic applications, in a fun and informative hands-on class. Castings will include gelatine, cap plastic, 2 part silicones, and Pros-Aid transfers.
